Art Policy

Thought I'd make a journal regarding my art policy just so people know!

My art policy is quite lenient. I know I have a lot of younger watchers who are still learning so I'm pretty okay with a lot of things. 

You may reference my art if it's for the purpose of learning. Though I really recommend you reference real-life photographs, you may reference my art if you so please! I really don't mind this. I'd also appreciate it if you'd link back to me, by hyperlinking my username - :devcrookedlynx: or :iconcrookedlynx:. Offsite? Just link to my page. You don't have to, but it's common courtesy! Hyperlinking back to me on deviantart means I can see it and comment on it too! ♡ I encourage taking inspiration. If a drawing of mine inspires you, don't feel hesitant to draw something similar. I share my art because I want people to take something from it.

Although, if you reference my art, you may not sell or make a profit from it. It is for your own personal use. By all means, share it with others - but please do not try to sell it for money. This is just a respect thing.

Things that are OK:
- Referencing my art.
- Tracing is fine, but try free-handing instead.
- "Stealing" a composition.
- Saving my art to your computer.
- Drawing inspiration from one of my characters.
- Uploading my art offsite (tumblr, pintrest, facebook, etc) just ask me first and link back to my page (the original source).
- Please ask me whenever you are going to do any of these things! I will always say yes, but I like to keep track.

Things I will not tolerate:
- Blatant stealing.
- Blatant copying of my characters (inspiration is fine).
- Blatant plagiarizing any of my stories (inspiration is fine).
- Re-uploading on deviantART.   
- Re-uploading off dA and not crediting my art/characters and claiming it as your own.
- Using my art to bully another.
- Using my art to direct hate to any subject.

PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT THINK I SPEAK FOR EVERY ARTIST. THIS IS FOR MY ART ONLY!!! DO NOT THINK OTHER PEOPLE ARE AS LENIENT AS I AM!!! Everyone has their own absolute right to refuse someone referencing their work. Please respect this! If you don't know their art policy, ask them! If it's very important to them, they will have it on their page. 

The biggest thing here is respect. I love art and if someone else loves art as much as I do, I want them to enjoy it and be able to learn. But just because I am lenient does not mean you have any right to abuse this. Please be respectful I may come back to this later. I'm tired as hecke.
